Randy Zromkoski, a seasoned attorney and partner, focuses on Workers’ Compensation and Social Security disability law. As a passionate advocate for the injured and disabled, Mr. Zromkoski has led numerous seminars sponsored by bar associations, professional organizations, labor unions, and support groups to ensure that those injured or disabled are fully informed of their rights and the benefits available to them. Being a native of Northwest Indiana and a graduate of Andrean High School, he has a deep understanding of local industry and its labor force. One of his greatest satisfactions is improving the lives of disabled and financially struggling workers.

Mr. Zromkoski has become a strong advocate for mental health organizations through his work in assisting those with mental illness in successfully pursuing Social Security benefits. For over 30 years, he has served on various boards of directors, including the Porter County Family Counseling Center, Mental Health America of Porter County, and the Porter-Starke Services Foundation, where he also served as board president. He was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the VNA Hospice of Northwest Indiana and the Valparaiso Economic Development Corporation, and he currently serves as the President of the Fairfield Greens Neighborhood Association.

Mr. Zromkoski was recognized for his 21 years of service on the Board of Directors of Porter-Starke Services, a community mental health center that also operates a federally qualified health center, where he served as Board Chairman from 2007 to 2012. In recognition of his contributions to the mentally ill, he received the Patient Care and Advocacy Award from Porter-Starke Services in 1997 and the Robert Anderson Award for Community Education and Service in 2001. Mental Health America has twice honored him with the Distinguished Service Award and the Margaret Stevens Award, the highest award presented by the agency.

Mr. Zromkoski has also served as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Greater Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce and the United Way of Porter County. In 2018, he and his wife, JoEllen, co-chaired the United Way’s annual campaign. In recognition of his extensive community service, he received the Greater Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce’s Legacy of Service award in 2019. Upon accepting the award, he remarked, “I’m so grateful to work in a community that understands that every human being ... has a right to be treated with respect, support, nurturing, and love.”

A former Adjunct Professor of Law at Valparaiso University School of Law, Mr. Zromkoski developed and taught a course on Social Security Disability Law. He also taught courses in labor and employment law at Indiana University Northwest in Gary and Indiana University South Bend.

Martindale-Hubbell has awarded Mr. Zromkoski the AV Rating, the highest rating given by LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell for a lawyer, based entirely on peer reviews. The AV Preeminent designation signifies that judges and fellow attorneys have rated him as having the highest possible rating for legal abilities and ethical standards. This rating assesses professional ability in specific areas of practice— in his case, Social Security Disability Law—based on five key areas: legal knowledge, analytical capabilities, judgment, communication ability, and legal experience. The General Ethics Standards Rating denotes adherence to professional standards of conduct and ethics, reliability, diligence, and other criteria relevant to the discharge of professional responsibilities.
